Omid is a co-founder and partner at Woodcross Capital and the Managing Director of Woodcross Resources. Prior to establishing Woodcross, Omid spent over 15 years in capital markets and investment banking. Omid spent the majority of his career at HSBC focused on structured debt, catering to blue chip companies and sovereign entities in North America and the Middle East. Omid is a Chartered Financial Analyst (‘CFA’) and holds a Masters in Business Administration (‘MBA’) from the Ivey School of Business in London, Canada.

Mehdi is a co-founder and partner at Woodcross Capital and a director and general counsel at Woodcross Resources. Prior to establishing Woodcross, Mehdi spent 12 years in legal practice advising major international financial investors, corporates, banks, debt funds and DFIs. Mehdi's transactional experience spans a broad range of sectors and geographies, having executed numerous complicated cross border financings (including leveraged buyouts, project financings and real estate financings) and restructurings across the Middle East, Africa and the wider region.

Luke is a mining engineer and executive with significant experience operating assets with identical geological formations to the mines located in Ntungamo and Isingiro Districts. Luke previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Metals, the largest mining company in Rwanda and owner of the largest tin and tungsten mines in Rwanda. Luke has also spent time with high-profile mining companies such as Glencore. Luke will be assisting us in overseeing all aspects of WRC’s operations relating to the smelting and mining segments.

Ian Gordon is widely regarded as one of the leading global experts in tin mining and smelting. Ian has over 50 years of experience in the industry and has been involved with some of the largest tin projects in the world, including Minsur’s San Rafel mine (the largest tin mine in the world) in Peru, Alphamin’s Bisie mine (regarded as the most successful tin mine commissioned in the 2000’s) in the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as several other high-profile projects in Brazil, the United Kingdom and South Africa. More recently, Ian Gordon acted as the smelting consultant for LuNa smelter’s facility in Kigali Rwanda.

Henry has a background in commodities trading and logistics in London and East Africa. Since 2016, he has owned African Panther Resources, which has steadily grown to become one of the largest exporters of 3Ts in East Africa. He also has an interest in a mining exploration company, focused on lithium deposits in Rwanda and Uganda.

Mike is a co-founder of the Responsible Mining Initiative ('RMI') program, the leading mineral traceability framework adopted by smelters in the tin industry. Mike previously served as the Director, Supply Chain Corporate Responsibility for Motorola Solutions where he was responsible for Motorola’s Global Supplier Corporate Responsibility Program focused on supply chain, health and safety management, conflict minerals, and green manufacturing. He has held leadership positions within International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) TC111 and IEC’s Advisory Committee on Environmental aspects (ACEA).
